Our Performance Sports Massage is a targeted soft tissue therapy for dedicated athletes. It is a 30-40 minute appointment where our qualified therapist may use Deep Tissue Massage, Massage Cupping, and Dry Needling.
Crucially, please note:
This service is NOT suitable for ongoing pain or injury.
There is NO clinical assessment or rehabilitation involved in this treatment.
If you are currently in pain, you must book an Initial Consultation through our Pain & Injury Rehabilitation service for a proper diagnosis.
This service is focused on:
Injury Prevention: Addressing muscular restrictions before they become a problem.
Performance Preparation: Preparing your body for the demands of competition or intense training (pre-event).
Accelerated Recovery: Aiding your body’s natural recovery processes after exertion (post-event).

Our sports massage service is for the committed athlete or active individual who sees intelligent recovery as a vital part of their performance plan. This is perfect for GAA players, runners, triathletes, and gym enthusiasts. This is NOT for you if you have a specific injury or chronic pain that needs diagnosis and a rehabilitation plan.
No. This service is not for diagnosing or treating injuries. For any specific or ongoing pain, you must book a full Initial Consultation so we can perform a proper clinical assessment.
This is a soft-tissue-only appointment. It does not include the in-depth clinical assessment, diagnostic process, or progressive rehabilitation programming that are the cornerstones of our Pain & Injury Rehabilitation service.
Our clinical expertise means we have a deep understanding of anatomy and can identify when muscle soreness might be a sign of a developing injury. It ensures your massage is both safer and more effective for your specific sport.
For athletes in heavy training, once every 1-2 weeks is optimal. For general maintenance, once a month is highly beneficial.
Not necessarily. These techniques are used only when clinically appropriate and with your full consent. We will discuss the best approach for you during the pre-session check-in.
For a major event, we recommend your last deep tissue work is 3-4 days prior. A lighter, flushing massage can be beneficial 1-2 days before to help the muscles feel ready.
Some techniques on particularly tight areas can cause discomfort, but it should always be a manageable, “good” pain. We work within your tolerance.
These are specific 30 or 40-minute soft tissue massage appointments only.
For field sports like GAA, it helps maintain hip and hamstring mobility. For runners, it’s crucial for managing tightness in the calves, quads, and glutes. Both see benefits in faster recovery between tough sessions.
Within the 30-40 minute timeframe, we typically focus on specific areas related to your sport (e.g., full legs, or back and shoulders) to achieve the best results.
